BROWSER DEBUGGING EVIDENCE

Turn browser bugs into a clear next step.

StepPane helps developers understand frontend issues by collecting the evidence around a reproduction. The extension records user actions, failed network requests, console errors, and screenshots in one session timeline, then turns that evidence into a report your team or coding agent can use.

See the events behind a frontend bug

A useful report needs more than a screenshot. StepPane keeps the reproduction steps next to the app signals that help explain what went wrong.

  • Follow clicks and navigation in the order they happened.
  • Inspect failed requests and console errors alongside the actions that preceded them.
  • Review screenshots for visual context around important steps.
  • Ask for an AI quick insight, then share a structured report with a coding agent through MCP.

From reproduction to debugging handoff

  1. Open the StepPane extension and start recording on the page with the issue.
  2. Reproduce the behavior so the timeline captures the relevant actions and errors.
  3. Review the session report, use an AI insight as a starting point, and share the evidence with your team.

StepPane works through a browser extension, so you can record a session without adding an SDK to your application.

Recording you control

Recordings start when you choose to begin a session. Sensitive input filtering is available to reduce the capture of private values. Sessions are stored locally by default; cloud sync and AI analysis use online services when you enable or request those features. Read the privacy policy for details.
